I'm using Webshere V6 on z/OS. I'd like to access it from java applications, with JMS. With JMS Point to Point there is no problem. But i don't know exactly if I need another product like Websphere Message Broker to use the Publish/Suscribe model.
When I execute the PSIVT test, it can't connect with the broker.
Yes, you need a pub/sub broker for the messaging transport you are using.
IBM supplies basically "three" brokers for the WebSphere MQ Transport. These are: WebSphere MQ, WebSphere Event Broker and WebSphere Message Broker.
WebSphere MQ needs to be configured to act as a pub/sub broker. There's an entire manual on Using Publish/Subscribe that covers the setup.
Event and Message Brokers are separate products that have their own documentation and configuration proceses. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general.
