Has anyone used MSCS Clustering to cluster their Config Manager's? We are looking at using MSCS Clustering to create an Active/Passive Config Manager pair in each of our datacenters. I wanted to know of any pitfalls or even if this can be done.

There's not a lot of value to this.

It's not necessary to have a configmgr running most of the time.

It doesn't impede anything if configmgr goes crashes for an hour or two until you can restore it from backups (HINT HINT).

We did think of that. It's a valid point. I guess it's mostly by preference instead of a necessity to cluster the config managers.

There shouldn't be anything very complicated about doing it, though. Other than making sure that you get the runtime working directory on shared disk, so that the confmgr private database files move. And moving the qmgr.

That's what I thought. Thanks for the information.
