Senior Java Software Development Engineer 90k
Contract to Hire. Length of contract to be determined.
Description:
The Senior Java software developer will
• Work closely with the development manager, project lead, and technical leads on an iterative development project
• Work independently on development projects which may include HTTP, FTP, SFTP, and Connect:Direct
• Research and analyze Java software designs
• Design and develop components of Java software
Requirements:
Development experience - minimum 10 years
• Designing and developing software programs
• Troubleshooting and resolving software problems
Java - minimum 5 years of practical experience
• Thorough understanding of JAVA
• Threads (multi-threading experience)
• Sockets and network programming
• JUnit or similar experience
OOAD & OOP experience
• Practical experience writing Java programs using OOP principles
• Writing reusable components
Preference given for some Security experience
• Certicom SSL Plus Java toolkit
• SSL/TLS with x.509 certificates
• JSSE, JCE
Windows – 2000, XP, or 2003
Unix - Solaris, HP, AIX or Linux
Good communication skills - must be able to communicate with developers, product managers, test engineers, information developers, customers and management in variety of settings
Experience working in a team environment
BA/BS degree in engineering, computer science or related field
