Hi,

We need to have a flow which will do a batch processing like Extract from database . Batch processing should happen once in a day.

Currently we are using Timer Node to do extract/Transform Job once in a day.

Can any one please let me know if there is any other way of doing Batch processing ?

We need this flow to run once in a day.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Anything which can send a message to WMQ can be used as a trigger for the Batch Operation.
Wrap that up in something line a cron job and you are all set.

Personally, I prefer this method as you can manually trigger the batch processing if required.

This method is in daily use on a high performance system in London and has worked fautlessly for the past 3+years.

If you want to use a timer node I would also put an MQInput node in the flow as well so that manual triggering can still be done when required
