Anything which can send a message to WMQ can be used as a trigger for the Batch Operation.
Wrap that up in something line a cron job and you are all set.
Personally, I prefer this method as you can manually trigger the batch processing if required.
This method is in daily use on a high performance system in London and has worked fautlessly for the past 3+years.
If you want to use a timer node I would also put an MQInput node in the flow as well so that manual triggering can still be done when required _________________ WMQ User since 1999
