I've been asked if an application written in Power Builder or Visual FoxPro development environments can leverage the MQI interface of WebSphere MQ. These Language environments are not listed in the prerequisite page, but as I'm not a Microsoft developer, I would like to know it could be possibile interface those environments with MQ using one of the supported interfaces like C, COM, or dotNet.

Thank you in advance for any help and regards,

You should be able to call .NET code from these, or at least COM.

This is really a question of what those appdev environments support.

Claudia,

I'm trying to determine the same thing. Have you had any success with this? If so, do you have an example?

I repeat myself.

Can PowerBuilder call any .NET code? Can it call any COM objects?

Can Visual FoxPro (completly unsupported, afaik) call any .NET code? Can it call any COM objects?

If so, then it likely can call the MQ .NET API or the COM (being phased out) API.
