Just for my curiosity. How does WMQ Explorer (V6) communicate with the local MQ to create the Qmgr. My understanding is it uses client code to remote administer already running Qmgrs. Obviousely the client cannot be used before the QMgr is created and running. I am interested in both Windows and Unx platforms.

To create QMGR MQ 6 Explorer just use standard commands:

Code:
crtmqm  QMGR
amqmdain qmgr start QMGR

Click "Show details" button when you are creating QMGR from toolkit and you will see it.
