There is no chance to restore gotten message with standard configuration without additional software. _________________ Marcin |

like marcin said this is not possible...
you can restore an entire queue manager or get special tools like ReQuest from Cressida (see the sponsor link above...) _________________ Michael

Unless you have a backup of the queue manager taken before the message was read off which contains the message in question. Clearly you'd need to create a new queue manager (or you'd roll all the other queues and messages back to the restore point), spoof the backup into this, extract the required message by the method of your choice (q program for instance) then replay it into the original queue manager.
Not something you'd want to do except under the most exceptional cirumstances. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

The saveqmgr support pack backs up queue manager & queue manager attributes in case you need to recreate them in the event of failure. It doesn't (as I think I intimated in a previous post) back up the contents of anything.
If you want to back up the queue contents you need to use one of the strategies in the System Admin guide outlined in the section on backing up the queue manager. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

As a general point, you shouldn't store anything in queues for any length of time. Use databases for data storage, use queues for messaging. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Sorry, maybe i didn't express clearly.
I thought (I dont know why ) this is simple configuration without any backup done eg. simple test environment.
I thought you just got messages and now you would like to do "some rollback" or something.
I also mentioned about additional software. _________________ Marcin |

Which of course is a valid, if additional cost option which I should have endorsed. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

You need to look into the programmer's manual and check for SYNCPOINT.
Once the GET message is committed, the message has been removed from the queue... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

'MS03 - saveqmgr' is intended for backingup/export of queue manager objects viz., queues, channels, and other objects to a file and when you need to recreate all these mq objects you would use saveqmgr with the file which you have created before.
For restoring the messages, provided you have backup of the messages you can even use tool like MQJExplorer to restore those messages. |
