I need some clarifications w.r.t link for R/3 and MQSI.
1. We are aware that link for R/3 takes IDOCs from SAP and puts it into the MQSeries Queue. But, will it take only the data IDOC file from the SAP or will it take the MetaData(Structure of IDOC along with field info)also.
2. We are creating Message Sets in MQSI to define the structure of data. While working with SAP IDOCs, is there any way to automatically generate a Message set for a particular IDOC Message Type. If so, how to do it. If not, what is the other way to get the metadata of the IDOCs.
Kindly reply.
Thanks in Advance

THe link only takes the fixed length data structure.
If you want to get the IDoc meta data into MQSI there are a number of support packs which can take the IDoc structures downloaded from SAP as either an XML schema or C structures.
Check out IA0F for the C structure solution.

Another solution is to use the NEON Adapter manager to get the IDoc meta data into the NEON Domain.
