Hi,
We had an issue wherein the queue managers were not up and the program that tried to put messages on the queue using MQPUT1 repeatedly gave a 2017 Max handles reached. Is there any command to retrieve the number of handles issued by this current program?

This can be viewed by various monitoring tools, or by simply issuing a netstat command under TSO. However, what probably should occur is that the program issuing the MQPUT1 should recognize that error condition and, at minimum, go into a long wait before reattempting the operation.
