We got message 'Maximum number of channels reached'.
I checked file mqs.ini and see we setup Maximum channel number over there. Does anybody know what's the limitation of MQ channle on iSeries?

The message means that whatever is set in MaxActiveChannels, your applications are asking for more than that number.

Also, changing mqs.ini and qm.ini only take affect when you restart the qmgr.

I don't see MaxActiveChannels setup in mqs.ini file. Do you know the defult number on IBM iSeries? Thanks1

The documentation on MaxActiveChannels is very specific as to a) the use of MaxChannels, and b) the default for MaxActiveChannels.

At least the iSeries documentation is very specific on these points.
