My Flow recieves message from a Mainframe based system (CCSID : 297)
In a compute Node , I am able to update the database , with special characters. But these are corrupted.
I am able to store the special characters, by doing an update manually from SQLPLUSLater on, when doing a select on the same record, WBI logs error:
2007-04-25 06:45:01.652049 46 DatabaseException BIP2322E: Database error: SQL State ''01004''; Native Error Code ''0''; Error Text ''[DataDirect][ODBC Oracle driver]String data, right truncated. Error in column 24.''.
The error has the following diagnostic information: SQL State ''01004'' SQL Native Error Code ''0'' SQL Error Text ''[DataDirect][ODBC Oracle driver]String data, right truncated. Error in column 24.''
This message may be accompanied by other messages describing the effect on the message broker itself. Use the reason identified in this message with the accompanying messages to determine the cause of the error.
Environment
WBI Broker: 6.0 on Sun Unix(Remote)
Toolkit: 6.0.0.1 on Windows XP
Oracle: 9.0 on Sun(Remote) UTF-8.
I am attaching the Trace Node. The special characters 'Véhicule n'accélére plus par moment' are corrupted, when the DB is updated by the update statement.

"Right truncated" ususally means that it put less data into the database column than you asked it to, because the column size was too small for the data.
Like you tried to put 48 characters into a 40 character column.
Or likewise you tried to read 48 characters into a 40 character variable.
Also search around here for NLS_LANG and LANG comments.

If the language set the broker is running under is different from the language set of the DB you will have to set an environment variable like NLS_LANG or LANG before starting the broker.
