Hi all, I have a small doubt. To coordinate messageflows, that is,to run them in transaction mode, is it not enough to set the transaction modes of the nodes i.e. transaction mode of Input nodes to Yes, Transaction modes of Compute nodes to Automatic etc. Why should we also set the "coordinatedTransaction" property of a message flow in Bar. Is it not enough if any one of the above is done.If both MUST ne done, then could any one explain the reason why both must be done.? |

The transaction mode you put on the node level is whether they should be included in your transaction or not. The broker uses local transactions by default, in order to use global transactions you must check the coordinate transaction box, unless you'r on z/OS.
Read up on the use of transaction managers, 2-phase commits and XA if you dont know the differences. _________________ IBM Certified Solution Developer - WebSphere Message Broker V6.1
