I have a destination queue set up to trigger a job when the first message hits the queue. What happens if the destination queue becomes full? Will the job be triggered lots of times? My transmit queue from my MQ Hub queue manager keeps trying to write the messages to the destination queue, it cannot because the dest. queue is full, and I am getting messages in my dead-letter queue that the dest. queue is full. My problem is fixed, but it looks like the triggered job tried to run many, many times. I am wondering how triggering works in this situation. Thanks.

Can you post your trigger definition here?

Hi,

When the queue is full, the current versions of MQSeries don't issue a new trigger, thats life. Your monitoring tool should warn you in time to react...

Well to set in on you can change the trigger settings using either MQSC or the explorer f.x. change the queue to have NOTRIGGER and then TRIGGER, and MQSeries will issue a new trigger.. if the trigger monitor is connected to the initiation queue....

just my $ 0.01
