Hi, I have a requirement where I have to set the HTTP request timeout on fly. Is that possible to set it in esql, like the url?
SET OutputLocalEnvironment.Destination.HTTP.timeout-- is that possible?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
Unfortunately this is not possible. Could you elaborate a little on why you feel the need to ajust the timout dynamically? _________________ MGK

hi,
thanks for the reply...
I am kind of trying to create a general flow, which can take requests for any URL and timeout and i want to set it depending on from where it gets called. The values for the timeout can either be set in the calling flow or can be read from a config file.
Is there a way around it?
Thanks

Sorry, there is no real workaround using the HTTPRequest node. One possibility would be to have several HTTPRequest nodes, each with different timeouts, (say have one starting at 10 seconds and the next at 20 seconds etc) and use a Compute node with Propagate to Label to send to incoming message to the request node with the next highest timeout. This assumes you don't need fine grained timeouts of course... _________________ MGK
