Hello All,
I have a requirement where I need to generate notifications and also perform a cancel check out on any notified item that is currently checked out. Even using the admin account, it does not appear that I can perform a cancelCheckOut() unless I was the original owner. So, instead I call forceRestart() which removes checkout status and resets the workitem, but I also lose the notification as well.
My first question is can only the orginal owner perform a cancelCheckOut?
If the answer to the first question is yes and I have to use forceRestart() to get around this, can I trigger a first notification on that reset work item through some other api call?
Regards,
Paul |

Paul:
Only the owner can issue the cancelCheckout.
Issuing the cancelCheckout, will not remove the existing 1st notification, so I am not sure you have a problem there.
