One's local, one isn't....
Or more formally:
One is part of the message tree, one is not. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Hi SANTYP,
In very simple words....
LocalEnvironment is local to a node, like the compute node....when you exit the node, it will be lost(unless you explicitly set the property to carry it forward)..
Environment on the other hand is local to the whole flow....when the flow ends, the Environment is lost...
Regards. |

local env is specific to a node
However if you configure all your compute nodes to pass all then you can use local env as environment also _________________ Cheers |

And I'm reassured by the number of subsequent posts that seem to agree with my view of how they work..... _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

I believe the biggest difference is in how they can be modified.
Local Environment modifications will be lost if your node is not set to pass them on. (node configuration). This being said only the modifications would be lost... not all the values on the local environment...
Some changes are being done to the local environment by the node (see MQOutput node) etc...
