Hi all,

My application is running in WAS 5.1.1.8 with MQ 5.3(CSD11).
Now I am planning to migrate MQ alone to MQ 6.0.

Operating system is SUSE Linux

Can anyone tell me to get details, regarding impacts related using WAS 5.1.1.8 with MQ 6.0 and things that I have to consider for this migration.

Thanks,
Guna

The WAS 5.1 system requirements state MQ 5.3 is supported, and no
mention of MQ 6.0.

.
The WAS 5.1.1 system requirements state both MQ 5.3 and MQ 6.0 is
supported. WAS 5.1.1 is a highly recommended fix pack anyway, so it is
worth applying, and also allows for MQ 6.0 support.

This is from a PMR I had opened several months back.

What's the end of life for WAS v5.x?

It's probably time to start planning migration.

Hi,

just wondering how you got on with this? I have a similiar set of servers, albeit running on AIX.

Thanks.
