Terminate and Delete instances

We are experiencing an issue where we could not login to WF client to monitor existing instances. There are way too many workitems in the pending/ suspended state and the Worklist threshold is reached. Is there any way to terminate and delete those instances manually without loging into WF client?

Any help appreciated.

Chris:

The problem is the client you are using is attempting to display a list before you can do anything.

What you need is to write a small utility program that
1. Logs in
2. Do what you need to do (i.e terminate delete etc).
3. Logs out.

Prior to #2 you will need to do a query. IF the needed query is TOO Big you will need to put a threshhold on that query, then possibly run the utility multiple times. JUST BE CAREFUL, you only delete/terminate the desired items.

Unfortunately the threshold is NOT reached or too big

In other words: once you have fixed the current problems, make sure that your client queries use reasonable threshold values.
