Subtract a month value from a date

I have a little problem in ESQL trying to get the The name of the previous month. From current date I want to subtract 15 months and get the name of the corresponding month. Is there anything in ESQL I could use to solve this problem. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You should be able to subtract an interval of 15 months from the current datetime and then get the month name from the result.

What have you tried, and how does it not work?

Thanks for your response. I am using INTERVAL like this

SET X = CURRENT_DATE - CAST(15 AS INTERVAL MONTH)
