Does any have any ideas on how to extend the format feature (Ctrl+Shift+F) for esql code editor. I am thinking of creating a plugin to improve this feature and just wanted to hear from others.

I don't believe that the ESQL Editor has exposed it's formatting as an extension point.

This means you would have to do a lot of reverse engineering and a lot of hackery in order to either entirely wrap or entirely subclass the existing editor and convince all your developers to change their Tooling configuration to use your ESQL Editor instead of the built-in one.

If you have issues with the way the current editor formats code, then either file a requirement or open a PMR.

Writing eclipse text editors is not for the faint of heart - this is the voice of experience talking.
