Hello,
I've installed the MQ Explorer on my workstation, downloaded the
IS02, followed the installation steps.
The problem is that in Preferences->MQ Explorer->Enable Plugins
there is no Broker Admin plugin. But in Software Updates->Manage Configuration the extension appears correctly.
Any ideas.
Thanks,
Alex |

What fix levels are you at with MQ & broker? Use dspmqver and mqsiservice -v. Mine returns:
Code: |
Name: WebSphere MQ
Version: 6.0.2.0
CMVC level: p600-200-060921
BuildType: IKAP - (Production)
BIP8996I: Version: 6003
BIP8997I: Product: WebSphere Message Brokers
BIP8998I: CMVC Level: S600-CSD03 DH600-L60821.1
BIP8999I: Build Type: Production
|
Under Prefs-MQExplorer-plugins I can see what you describe. _________________ Regards

I think the plugin is now called just "Broker Explorer".

Try to close and re open the MQ Explorer .
All the changes will get reflected.
Because,i too got the same probelm It worked for me.
If you still get the same problem try to reinstall it according to the IS02 Installation documentation _________________ IBM ->Let's build a smarter planet |

I got the same problem in 2 instances.
Restart of MQExplorer or the computer doesn't help, neither does deleting the .metadata or just copying the files to a directory already used by MQ Explorer.
There are no errors in the .log file and I can see the plugins are loaded but no broker plugins in preferences or new views.
My versions are WMQ 6.0.2.0 and WMB 6.0.0.3. _________________ Jan Fluitsma

Hello jfluitsm,
The software update method should work. With an MQExplorer/ Eclipse restart afterwards.
Have you upgraded your MQExplorers Eclipse to 3.0.2? This is required as the Broker Explorer only works with Eclipse 3.0.2.
This is different from upgrading to MQExplorer 602 as MQExplorer 602 ships with Eclipse 3.0.1. Instructions are in the pdf documentation.
