BIP2321E: Database error: ODBC return code '-1'.
The message broker encountered an error whilst executing a database operation. The ODBC return code was '-1'. See the following messages for information obtained from the database pertaining to this error.
Use the following messages to determine the cause of the error. This is likely to be such things as incorrect datasource or table names. Then correct either the database or message broker configuration.
BIP2322E: Database error: SQL State '08001'; Native Error Code '-30082'; Error Text '[IBM][CLI Driver] SQL30082N Attempt to establish connection failed with security reason "24" ("USERNAME AND/OR PASSWORD INVALID"). SQLSTATE=08001
'.
The error has the following diagnostic information: SQL State '08001' SQL Native Error Code '-30082' SQL Error Text '[IBM][CLI Driver] SQL30082N Attempt to establish connection failed with security reason "24" ("USERNAME AND/OR PASSWORD INVALID"). SQLSTATE=08001
'
This message may be accompanied by other messages describing the effect on the message broker itself. Use the reason identified in this message with the accompanying messages to determine the cause of the error.

BIP8040E: Unable to connect to the database.
The database cannot be accessed with the userid and password that were specified when the broker was created.
Check that the database is running, that an ODBC connection has been created and that the userid and password pair specified for ODBC connect on the mqsicreate command are capable of being used to connect to the database using an ODBC connection. Also ensure that the database has a adequate number of database connections available for use.

NOTE: I did the following before I ran the above command.
1. Install DB2 8.1.0
2. Set proper privileges for wbimbprd user id in order to run db2 session,
which is running fine
3. Set ODBCINI environment varaiable properly
4. I have also set DB2 ports in /etc/services file and added db2svc1 and
db2isvc for both DB2 connection and interruption services

when I log in as wbimbprd, I'm able to run db2 session and connect to my database EEAX02PP as follows:
$db2 connect to EEAX02PP
Database Connection Information

Database server = DB2/6000 8.1.0
SQL authorization ID = WBIMBPRD
Local database alias = EEAX02PP

When I try this
$ db2 connect to EEAX02PP user wbimbprd using sydebt99
SQL30082N Attempt to establish connection failed with security reason "24"
("USERNAME AND/OR PASSWORD INVALID"). SQLSTATE=08001

Any help would be highly appreciated as it is urgent.

Thanks a lot for your any feedback and input

Look for the user name case..if the database is running in non windows platform , you may have to check . cas the user name may be case sensitive.
thanks!

Hey were u able to login with that user ID and pwd? Just check, I think either pwd might have expired or it is wrong. Nothing else could be the reason.
