I have been asked to install WebSphere MQ Workflow 3.6 with oracle client in Windows environment.

We have Oracle server is installed in AIX Environment and we will connect to oracle server through MQ Workflow/oracle client - windows environment.

I know that either I have to install Oracle Client Software or I need to be use Type 4 driver - odbc14.jar file - without installing oracle client software in MQ Workflow machine.

I want a solution of connecting to the database, without having oracle client software on MQ workflow machine.

Could you please help me on How to setup the Type 4 driver (odbc14.jar -thin driver) in the Environment Variable or any respective classpath setting so that MQ Workflow software recognise/detect the "Type 4 driver" while install MQ Workflow and also connecting to oracle server.

How to connect to database now....What is the other way solution.
Is it compulsory to have Oracle Client Software installed in MQ Workflow machine where we want to connect to server?

(It like we are using XA
