I am runn MQ V6 on Windows XP and AIX. We are testing SSL connections. We have a simple test environment with 2 windows client (wincl1 and wincl2) and 2 AIX Server (QM, QM2)
During our SSL testing, we generate a self signed certificate on AIX (QM1)Server (ibwebspheremqaixqm1). We then extract the certificate , ftp it to windows (wincl1 and wincl2) and add the cert to the keyring db on the Windows boxs which runs MQ client. This is working with no problem.
We like to centralise the generation of self signed certificate on a single AIX Server. I was wondering if we can generate a self signed certificate on AIX QM1 for QM2. extract the cert and fto it to AIX QM2 and wincl1 and wincl2. and use it for SSL authentication between wincl1 wincl2 and AIX QM2?
If this is possible, is there any additional steps involved?
