Hi all,
Had a small doubt . I cannot conclude what could be the effect of changing the domain name of the server on MQ.We are using AIX with oslevel at 5.2. MQ 5.3 with csd07. We have done all the configurations with IP addrese only, but we didnot use any domainanmes in the connection info.So that should not effect the configuration.But what would be the effect on the MQ server.Need a quick reply.

if you are using IP adresses only there is no effect, unless the IP adress itself changes. Also make sure the connections to your MQ Server are also using IP adresses.

did you mean the conname attribute in the channels or the OS resolving the server.If it is channels , we have given Ip addresses only everywhere.And Iam not aware how would the server resolve for the server, by IP or domain name.

I mean the CONNAME attribute in the channels of other MQ servers connecting to yours.
If you have given only IP adresses then you should be fine.
