Hi guys,

I seem to be stuck with some german character conversion. Let me explain my scenario first.

I have two simple flows, which have JMSInput -> Compute -> JMSOuput. Let me call them Service and Adaption. Both the flows are running on a Unix box with settings MQSI_LOCAL_CCSID=819 and NLS_LANG=.UTF8 (I got these settings from some of the other topics here at MQSeries).

The Service flow output puts the message to the Adaption flow using bindings.

I use the RFHUtil to put a UTF-8 message "<Test>ä</Test>" on the queue for the Service flow. The message in the RFHUtil looks like "<Test>ä</Test>". The format and code page on the MQMD and RFH is set as MQSTR and 819.

The service flow picks the message successfully and puts it to the Adaption queue. When I look at the message in the Adaption input(by stopping the flow) I see that the message is identical to the one in RFHUtil.

But once the Adaption flow picks the message, the character looks like "an arrow representation pointing right" and while attempting to put this message to another queue, XML writing exception is thrown.

Now my doubt is if I should be even using 819 or working around 1208. And whats the JMSOutput doing differently than my RFHUtil...or 2nd JMSInput doing differently than my 1st JMSInput.

Any ideas ?

Regards.

Do you have a APAR #? It's a little bit difficult to search ibm for a PMR you did not open...

Your search - IY95727 site:www.ibm.com - did not match any documents.

Suggestions:

* Make sure all words are spelled correctly.
* Try different keywords.
* Try more general keywords.
* Try fewer keywords.

Guess not been released for the general public yet...
