Dear all,

Hopefully somebody can help me. I have a broker environment setup in v5 and my broker needs to use a DB2 (v8.2) Database that is remote to the broker. I have configured the Database to be accessible via my local DB2 Control Centre but I seem to need someway of telling my broker the user id and password for that database.

I have even created the ODBC / System DSN link supplying the userid / password and tested the connection. I then created a simple message flow which attempted to select the number of rows in a table. This fails with an error indicating that the userid/password is incorrect. I have tried restarting my PC & still get the same problem.

The database is visible from my local machine in DB2 Control Centre which has the broker environment on it and I can see it from the db2cmd interface and it does list out but still asks for a user id and password for me to successfully connect to the remote database.

So my question, is there a correct way to connect to a Remote DB2 database from WBIMB v5 ??

Many thanks
Lee
