One uses ESQL, one uses Java.
I'll leave you to work out which does which..... _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Prefer ESQL(C.N) than java (JCN) if performance is critical. _________________ Regards,

I know some Java developers who'd argue with you on that!
(Rightly or wrongly - I don't want to start a statistics war here... )
Another point is maintainability. We use a lot of ESQL because we're migrating (at last!) from 2.1 to v6 so we have a large installed base of ESQL to keep going. We also have more MQ people who know ESQL than Java people who know MQ. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Hi!
We have v5 and soon we will migrate to v6.
Is the ESQL (in the versione 2.1 or 5) 100% compatible with the ESQL in v6? |

Depends how the ESQL is written. Experience indicates 90%ish with this site's rather pedestrian ESQL. Check the migration documentation for full details.
Clearly you might want to deliberately change some to take advantage of v6 features. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
