Hi guys,
I'm getting quite frustrated with the latest version of the PCF Java package.
I have some Java code (identical to the example given in the PCF support pack) which queries a Queue Manager for it's list of Queues. I'm using v6 com.ibm.mq and com.ibm.mq.pcf-6.0. The problem I have is that PCF is quite obviously not using the SYSTEM.DEFAULT.MODEL.QUEUE to create it's temporary Queue on some Queue Managers as it's creating a 'permanant dynamic' (interesting use of words!) Queue which is naturally being left behind! On one example Queue Manager BMC is used extensively and an AMQ.PCF.MODEL.QUEUE is defined which is set to 'permanant dynamic'. It's using this Queue rather than SYSTEM.DEFAULT.MODEL.QUEUE despite what the docs say and even if I explictly set the model Queue to point to the system one! The Queue Manager it's connecting to is at level 5.3 CSD 11 but I wouldn't have thought that matters.
Can someone give me some guidance here ...
Thanks in advance,

Hi Angus,
For what it's worth I'm having the same problem on my site & it's driving the developer mad. The solution appears to be a cron job that deletes unwanted queues.... _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Try using PCFAgent and setModelQueue() and connect() instead of PCFMessageAgent. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Yup, way ahead of you, I'm already doing that and it don't work!
Looks like the author is the only way forward as I've drawn a blank on here... _________________ *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
