Hi,
Can anyone cast light on the following problem please?
I've installed Broker and all the requirements... But when I try and run the 'Default Configuration' wizard, it always hangs when trying to create the default database DEFBKDB6.
From the 'DefaultConfigurationWizard.log' I get;
Status ERROR: com.ibm.etools.mft.eou code=0 Could not check user has correct password or privileges.
Collected output from task >
Stdout: []
Stderr: [] java.lang.Throwable: The task caused a native runtime exception. An error occurred in File(eou.dll/Win32RunnableNative.c) at Line: 1822 with system error: The system cannot find the file specified.
I'm running the default config under a local user who is in the Administrators, mqm, mqbrkrs, DB2ADNMS, DB2USERS groups so don't understand why it's giving me the above error. The workstation is within a domain, but I'm logged on locally.
Also, I can't run a DB2 command line processor - just hangs there, but I can create databases using the GUI.
Am new to Broker..... Help!
Thanks. |

This points to more of a DB2 problem than an MQ one. Are you sure the paths are set correctly?
Also, does it work if you use the DB2ADMIN user who installed DB2 rather than the local id? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

yes, the paths look fine and no - it still doesnt work under the db2admin log-on, nor the local administrator log-on (under which everything was installed).
i ran the same setup on a stand-alone box and all was fine and dandy. |

I'd certainly give up on trying to configure the broker until you can get a DB2 Command Prompt to work. Debug the DB2 install. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
