My attempt at an uninstall has gone bad. When I perform a rpm -e <MQPackage> it says it does not exist, but when I try to install my new MQSoftware package, I can't because of conflicts with the old package that it said previously did not exist.

root@hrokappl:/home/fwillia/MQClientwithSSL# rpm -e MQSeriesRuntime-5.3.0-13.i386.rpm
error: package MQSeriesRuntime-5.3.0-13.i386.rpm is not installed

leave out the .rpm part and try again...
