Hello,

( 1) My shop just bought IBM Tivoli Editor for Messages for z/OS. This package is supposed to replace Candle PQEdit V1.2. After browsing through the box that arrived, it contains 2 CDs, 1 license information and 1 installation guide. First thing that came to my mind, where's the cartridges so that I can install on my z/OS?
( 2) After browsing through the installation guide, I can't seem to understand how it is going to work on z/OS?
( 3) Can any expert advise me on how this new software works on z/OS platform?
( 4) Pls advise urgently.
( 5) Thank you.

(1) If your z/OS doesn't have an optical drive, either buy an optical drive or speak to the IBM rep who sold you the product to obtain alternative media
(2) Maybe it doesn't - maybe IBM are working a con?
(3) How much is your training budget?
(3a) Speak to your IBM guy - they have lots of experts
(4) Tell your IBM guy it's urgent. This is why you pay them so much for licenses
(5) You're quite welcome. Don't let the IBM bloke mess you around - you are the customer and the customer is always right.
