Hi,
I recently installed Toolkit V6 ( I already have V5 ) and both worked fine . Then tried to update it using RPU , but I got problems , so I uninstalled V6 Toolkit and installed again .
But now I found most of the nodes missing . I followed these methods
1. First with -clean option
2. Then deleted .metadata directory and re build the project
No use .. then
3. Un installed the Toolkit
4. I deleted the vpd.properties file in C:/WINDOWS
5. and Installed Toolkit again
But no use ( I tried -clean even after that )
Please tell me where I did make mistake? Did I miss any important step ?
Please advice me ! |

If by "most of the nodes" you mean for example the Compute node...
Then you reinstalled Event Broker toolkit and not Message Broker Toolkit. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Let me be clear.
If you do not have compute nodes or any other transformation nodes, then the software you *have* installed is the Event Broker Toolkit. The software you *meant* to install was Message Broker Toolkit, but it's not what you *did* install.
So you need to uninstall what you've got, make sure you have an installer for Message Broker Toolkit and use that. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

It's still Event Broker Toolkit.
Did you download an e-assembly, or do you have a CD or DVD? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I installed using CD's ( Websphere Message Broker Toolkit - 5 cd's ). I used the same cd's when I installed the Toolkit first time which worked perfectly.. |

... well.
I'd still suggest another re-install, being very careful about every selection. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Simultaneously you can try this too,
You can also check by right clicking on the palette inside the toolkit. Select Customize option from the pop up menu. You can scan for the nodes which are not appearing inside palette. If the compute node is there, then select it and then in the construction pane unchecked the hide check box. _________________ Regards,

I also had this problem when reinstalling the software. An error message at the end of the reinstall indicated errors occured, however the toolkit would start but did not contain all the nodes. The error logs indicated that a backup directory already existed at c:\Program Files\IBM\MessageBrokersToolkit\6.0\eclispse\jre.6021bkup. I assume this was left over from the previous installation. I deleted this directory, ran the installation again, and all the expected nodes were present. |
