Guys!
Need help on basic topic...
For some reason the MQ licenses on a AIX server was changed unexpectly.
Baiscally the setmqcap is not working. I submited several times using 1 or -1 as parameter (I just need 1 processor allowed). But no outcomes are received.
I tried using root ID, mqm ID and my own ID but it is not working. the dspmqcap is showing me zero licenses.
This is wierd since the Qmgr has been working for 1 year with out problems.
The Qmgr was down due to a schedulled maintenace, but I can restarted it today 'cos the licenses issues.
No errors related to setmqcap are in the errors logs.
FDC is not telling me to much.
Any ideas? Thoughts? Does some body have facing this kind of weird problems?

Name: WebSphere MQ
Version: 530.10 CSD10

Unix Server AIX 5.1
Why a beutifull day is getting hard for a simple setmqcap? ah?

It sounds like someone deleted the license files incorrectly. What kind of "routine maintenance" occurred?
What do the FDCs show, even if they aren't useful to you? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

THANKS For your quick response.
FDC is reporting following Probe Ids. These ProbeIds are recurrent.
*************************
Probe Id :- XY019007
Probe Type :- MSGAMQ6162
Probe Severity :- 2
| Probe Description :- AMQ6162: An error has occurred reading an INI file.
I checked and the mqs.ini and mq.ini are readables.
*****************************
Probe Id :- XC022003
Minor Errorcode :- OK
Probe Type :- MSGAMQ6119
Probe Severity :- 2
Probe Description :- AMQ6119: An internal WebSphere MQ error has occurred
('28 - There is not enough space in the file system.' from write.)
FDCSequenceNumber :- 0
Arith1 :- 28 1c
Comment1 :- '28 - There is not enough space in the file system.'
from write.
The file system /var/mqm/errors were full I cleaned deleting a lot of FDC from 2005. Now it is at 60%
*******************************
One question.
Where should be placed the licenses file. I'd like to verify if the file is there. _________________ GEMO! |

maybe it's easier to rerun mqlicense.sh from the installation media? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I used to accept the license agreement using smit during the installation. I never used mqlicense.sh for AIX and it always worked.
I have no idea if this can be done for existing installation, but I am guessing it might be possible |
