Here's my problem, I'm charged with updating an MQ environment of several linux v5.3 queue managers. They don't want to upgrade them to 6 -- they're trashing the servers and moving to solaris first -- they just want them updated to the most current level.
The problem is, that queue managers are all on different levels, CSD6, CSD10, CSD12... I need to update them all to CSD13. Furthermore, all the systems are running RedHat 2.1 Enterprise.
What problems should I expect? Should I even bother updating them at all? _________________ "If you meet the Buddha, kill the Buddha." - Lin Chi |

Hi
Please keep it in your mind that IBM is going to withdraw the support of MQ V5.3 on coming Sept 2007.
It is good if you go ahead and think of MQ 6.
If you are planning to upgrade MQ V5.3, then go ahead with latest CSD and should be sync with all the boxes.
Still its good to think of MQ V6 right away
Thanks and Regards

The only problems you should expect if you upgrade to v5.13CSD13 - is if you do not also upgrade any CSD8/9 level clients. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
