MQ Infrastructure Specialist in the Netherlands at EDS.
location: Amsterdam area
We are currently looking for MQ infrastructure specialists who will work on location at our customer. This customer is looking for a packaged solution running MQ6 on a Linux cluster. The infrastructure is related to many different core banking transactions and therefore extremely critical.
Work together with group of skilled Middleware specialists to transition the customer to this new environment. Using your skills and experience in the use of MQSeries, put together a complete package that will allow a smooth implementation and an effortless transition to this new implementation, paying special emphasis on operational availability.
- Support new business projects, coordinate solutions.
- Engineering MQSeries 6 on Redhat Enterprise Linux 4
- Provide 3rd Line support for the Middleware environment.
- Assisting in the initial deployment of MQSeries 6
Requirements:
- Knowledge of and experience with WebSphere MQSeries 5.3 and preferably 6.0
- Knowledge and experience with MQSeries tooling
- Know how to deploy/monitor/support MQSeries
- Problem solving in MQSeries
- Knowledge about ksh, perl and / or python
- Nice to have: Linux clustering experience, C programming experience
- Thorough Unix and/or Linux, preferably RedHat experience and knowledge.

This is a permanent position.

They should be considering people only from the 27 European Union countries first and foremost. We have made agreements here in Europe and the last time I looked countries like America, Canada, Russia, Africa, Australia, India, China etc. are not in Europe and are not part of the European Union.
I guess every country has its own rules. These days, to gain access to America, for example, ordinary, decent Europeans are effectively treated like criminals. So, we shouldn't really be bothered to go there at all for anything.
As well as that, we have people looking for work here in the European Union. These people come first. Don't forget that.  |
