Hi everyone,

I have 2 mq servers with one qm, transmisison queues, 1 sender channel, 1 receiver channel, a remote queue pointing to a remote queue manager's local queue each.

I tried to publish from first queue manager to the second queue manager but failed, even though the channels are running. The channel count is always 0.

I have checked through all the errors logs (event viewer, errors folders) but no errors found when I published. In addition, there are no messages found in the transmission queue for each queue managers.

However, if I put a test message into the remote queue in the first or second queue manager, I will be able to receive it at the other queue manager.

So, can anyone advice me on the possible errors or help me with this. Thanks a lot for your time.

What did you specify when you subscribed?

Hi jefflowrey,

I just subscribe to the topic which I want to listen to.

I tried subscribing locally and I am able to receive the message. Btw, I am using the SYSTEM.BROKER.DEFAULT.STREAM.

My problem is that the published message did not go through the channel to the other queue manager.

...

What did you specify as the ReplyToQueue and ReplyToQMgr on the subscription request?

Hi, I am not sure regarding this. Because is not done by me for the subscribing part.

Anyway, what do you think are the possible reasons?

So sorry, not able to answer your question.

Thanks for your time.

If the subscription is not made with the remote queue manager in the ReplyToQMgr field, then publications for that subscription will not go to that queue manager.

Hi,

It works between 2 servers.

However, when I tried to connect to another broker (in total 3 brokers) now using child parent relationship, it fails again.

In other words, I have server A as the parent and server B & C as the child of server A.

Can anyone help? Or can anyone provide links on more information about parent and child broker relationships.

Thanks in advance.
