Our client in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area is a looking for a Middleware Support Specialist for a direct hire position. Our client will not sponsor H1 Visa's. This person will be providing ongoing infrastructure support to all testing and production iSeries, AIX, Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 environments for Microsoft Message Queue and environments for the MQSeries/Websphere, MQ middleware products.

On a day to day basis, this individual will be performing key support activities to install, configure, secure, upgrade, patch, troubleshoot, maintain, tune, monitor, manage and provide on-going on-call support of Websphere, IBM HTTP Server, MQSeries and SSL. Active participation in middleware infrastructure architecture issues, such as capacity planning, scalability, fail over, backup/recovery and security of middleware environment. Insure compliance with Change Management process. Support the middleware application teams during the development life cycle.
Provide technical support for emerging projects, providing technical support of middleware components of the of the enterprise landscape resource management of project.

To be qualified for this position, individuals should have a minimum of 3 years experience and a complete understanding of Information Technology development practices such as WBI Broker, Websphere MQ, WBI IBM Connectors-JDBC, SAP and JD Edwards. A minimum of 2 years industry experience with middleware is required. Must have experience in all aspects of middleware lifecycle management. Knowledge of technical requirements related to systems architecture including servers, database and web portals. Basic knowledge of the supported Windows family, iSeries, AIX of operating systems to diagnose, troubleshoot and recover middleware server support events.

This position is scheduled as a direct hire with our client. Since this is an immediate opening, individuals will need to be able to personally interview with little notice.
