Hi,

I had a couple of questions about Message Broker Synch Point functionality:

Does a synch point occur on non persistent message and if yes,what is the purpose in doing so?

What really happens in a synchpoint?

I was wondering if there is a comprehensive resource out there, that I can peruse through?

Yes, Broker can handle non-persistent messages in a syncpoint.

The reasons for doing so are the same as for persistent messages - because the message needs to be retained in case of error.

The Broker Information Center and the MQ Information Center are comprehensive resources for learning about this stuff. In particular, the Broker information center talks about this subject in terms of "transactionality".
