Is there a dashboard type application that is similar to MQExplorer but focused from the Applications standpoint? It would need to allow users / developers a "read only" access to their objects, NOT giving them any MQAdmin Authorities..
From what I understand MO71 will not work since I do not think it can be locked down enough to allow users the read-only access..
We have BMC and CA but have been told they do not have that capability.
Any suggestions would be appreciated...

Um.
Both BMC and CA should have that capacity. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

But we are needing agents or that will run on multiple users desktops.
I talked with people on BMC and they only had their console that would reside in operations.
No idea if CA has a portal type of agent.. |

This is entirely incorrect. You are trying to apply MQ security to the wrong product (wrong end of the connection). The appropriate MQ security must be set at the queue manager using setmqaut.
If you applied the security to the queue manager then the end-user could happily use MO71 and only have read-only privileges.
Actually, I get this very same question once a week or so for MQ Visual Edit. A couple of years ago, I used to get it a lot and I got tried of trying to convince the world that MQ Visual Edit wasn't the problem.
So, I created MQ Visual Browse from MQ Visual Edit. But MQ Visual Browse is a read-only mq tool. I'm surprised and shocked that I sell lots of licenses for it.
Anyway, if you don't want to do security for your queue managers and still want a read-only mq tool then have a look at MQ Visual Browse.
