Hi All,
Has anyone seen this before... I've installed and running MQ server 6.0 on Solaris 10 with 2 processors. When running the following command setmqcap 2, i get the following error "Insufficient license units".
I was told to run setmqcap 0, and then reset it by running setmqcap 2 again. When running setmacap 0, i get the same error "Insufficient license units".
Can anybody help?
Thanks in advance. |

mrfridaynight,
what the tool setmqcap mostly does, is to create or modify the file /var/mqm/qmgrs/@SYSTEM/amqcap.inf - are you allowed, to write to this file? What's the content of this file? _________________ Regards

mrfridaynight,
you wrote me an email, but I would like to answer in this forum. You wrote

Hi Hubert,
Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for your posting. I am however still having the same problem.
Here are my permissions:
-rwxrwxrwx 1 mqm mqm 3 Feb 9 08:04 amqcap.inf
When I do a more on amqcap.inf I get the following result:
2 4
What else do you think it could be?
Many Thanks in Advance.

I cannot answer your question, but Solaris 10 is desigend to use zones. I do not exactly know about the impacts of this zoning, but I heard about the possibility, to share filesystems between several zones. Maybe somebody in this community knows more about this concept.
Another idea: On one of my systems (not Solaris, but zLinux - should be the same) I found the following permissions:
Code: |
-rw------- 1 mqm mqm 3 Jul 13 2004 amqcap.inf |
Could it be, that your permissions are invalid (just a guess)? _________________ Regards
