All,
How often do you all reboot your AIX servers running Websphere MQ 6.0 and Message Broker 6.0? I'm new to AIX, but have worked on UNIX HP and we would reboot these servers every 90 days.

Thanks,

We reboot as needed, usually for patches or upgrades. I believe before our recent reboot, the servers had been running for a year or close to it. I guess it would all depend on how critical rebooting in a production envrionment is. In my environment, it is a big task and can slow or stop production for many areas of business, so reboots happen rarely.

Do you have WMQ and Message Broker 6.0 running on your servers?

We do but we don't perform any type of theraputic reboot of the servers.

Not much point on an AIX Server.

Dev servers are rebooted when one of the developers manages something really crazy (about once a week - no, that's something crazy. Really crazy is every couple of months )

The managed environments (user test, regression test, production) havn't been bounced in a year or more.
