Hi !
We change logging from circular to linear logging but when we put the manager in the MSCS cluster it changeit back to circular logging ?

The senarie:
On the node where manager is currently running :
stop and delete "MQ manager"
On the other node :
hadltmqm /m "MQ manager"
On the node where manager just have has been deletet:
crtmqm -ll -ld D:\WMQ -lf 65535 -q " MQ manager"
Check with MQ explore that the manager is linear logging.
Stop "MQ manager" and set it to manuel start.
hamvmqm /m "MQ manager" /dd e:\WMQ /ld f:\
Start "MQ manager" with MQ explore
restart server
On the other node ( where mq now is starting) :
Check with MQ explore .. show circular logging !

I'm assuming WMQ v6.0 due to'hadltmqm'.

Check that all Registry entries have been removed on BOTH nodes before recreation and check the Registry agrees with what MQExplorer is reporting after you have recreated it.

I always migrate the queue manager out of MSCS storage before destroying it - old habits die hard

Thanks )

In MSCS Cluster Administrator i sat resource instance Offline.
Then Destroy the resource instance.
Returning a queue manager from MSCS storage with:
hamvmqm /m qmname /dd "c:\WMQ" /ld "c:\WMQ\log"
Delete the manager with MQ explore

On the other node i run hadltmqm /m qmname but the manager was still in the reg. base af a default manager. So I recreate it and delete it again.

Again thanks for your help

Be sure you've planned for the administrative consequences of linear logging.
