Hi,
I am new to programming exits in C for MQ applications. I tried taking a look at the the header files to get an idea of the structures available, but I need some more documentation on the structures explaining what fields are used for what and when. I have taken a cursory glance at the Application Programming guide for MQ 5.3/6.0 and got some information but is there some link on the net which provides a detail description of all structures being used for MQ6.0 ?
For eg how do I know what is populated in the DestinationArrayPtr attribute of the MQWXP structure?
Any pointers (no pun intended) are really appreciated. _________________ Thanks,

Not all of this is published externally, from what I understand.
In most cases, if it's not in the App Prog Reference, it's probably not publicly available. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Are you really going to write a workload management exit?
You will need to take more than a 'cursory glance' at the documentation to do it successfully. You should have looked at the Clusters manual to find what you wanted.
Be aware that the workload exit runs in the qmgr memory space, so if you get it wrong you will crash the agent process amqzlaa0 and probably the whole qmgr, and it is possible (but not likely) that you may corrupt the qmgr data beyond recovery. _________________ MQSeries.net helps those who help themselves.. |
