We are getting the following error during an AIX server install of MQ V6.0

A little background info as well. It appears someone tried to install a 5.3 client on the server previously. We went through smitty and did an uninstall as well as going through /usr/mqm and removed any remaining files. Thanks in advance for any info.

Requisite Failures
------------------
SELECTED FILESETS: The following is a list of filesets that you asked to
install. They cannot be installed until all of their requisite filesets
are also installed. See subsequent lists for details of requisites.

mqm.server.rte 6.0.0.0 # WebSphere MQ Server
mqm.txclient.rte 6.0.0.0 # WebSphere MQ Extended Transa...

MISSING REQUISITES: The following filesets are required by one or more
of the selected filesets listed above. They are not currently installed
and could not be found on the installation media.

mqm.Client.Bnd 6.0.0.0 # Base Level Fileset

CONFLICTING REQUISITES: The following filesets are required by one or
more of the selected filesets listed above. There are other versions of
these filesets which are already installed (or which were selected to be
installed during this installation session). A base level fileset cannot
be installed automatically as another fileset's requisite when a different
version of the requisite is already installed. You must explicitly select
the base level requisite for installation.

Okay I found a command that lists installed filesets:

psiracu@es2p141p:/home/psiracu$ lslpp -L | grep -i mq
mqm.Client.Bnd 5.3.0.1 C F WebSphere MQ Client Bundle

I'm sure this is causing our install problem but I can't find a way to get rid of this.

Why not?
Use SMIT to get rid of it
Since you have deleted /usr/mqm, maybe it is not able to uninstall with regular commands
Do a force uninstall

If you cannot figure how to do it, send me an e-mail and I'll send you a screen shot

Yes this is the problem, there is a requisite in the V.6 install to ensure that you don't end up with a mixture of Version 5 and 6 filesets. You should be able to uninstall with installp -u mqm.Client.Bnd
