We are getting the following error during an AIX server install of MQ V6.0
A little background info as well. It appears someone tried to install a 5.3 client on the server previously. We went through smitty and did an uninstall as well as going through /usr/mqm and removed any remaining files. Thanks in advance for any info.

be installed automatically as another fileset's requisite when a different

Okay I found a command that lists installed filesets:
psiracu@es2p141p:/home/psiracu$ lslpp -L | grep -i mq
mqm.Client.Bnd 5.3.0.1 C F WebSphere MQ Client Bundle
I'm sure this is causing our install problem but I can't find a way to get rid of this. |

Why not?
Use SMIT to get rid of it
Since you have deleted /usr/mqm, maybe it is not able to uninstall with regular commands
Do a force uninstall
If you cannot figure how to do it, send me an e-mail and I'll send you a screen shot |

Yes this is the problem, there is a requisite in the V.6 install to ensure that you don't end up with a mixture of Version 5 and 6 filesets. You should be able to uninstall with installp -u mqm.Client.Bnd _________________ Philip Morten
