Hi,

I encountered a problem where the Sender Channel is retrying and binding but the Receiver Channel is connected. the Status of the receiver channel shows tt it is connected to the IP which is retrying and binding.

The error log on the receiver show the following:
----- amqrmrsa.c : 468 --------------------------------------------------------
1/10/2007 17:43:18 - Process(4232.3695) User(administrator) Program(amqrmppa.exe)
AMQ9514: Channel 'X.TO.Y.F1' is in use.

EXPLANATION:
The requested operation failed because channel 'X.TO.Y.F1' is currently
active.
ACTION:
Either end the channel manually, or wait for it to close, and retry the
operation.
----- amqrcsia.c : 968 --------------------------------------------------------
1/10/2007 17:43:18 - Process(4232.3695) User(administrator) Program(amqrmppa.exe)
AMQ9999: Channel program ended abnormally.

EXPLANATION:
Channel program 'X.TO.Y.F1' ended abnormally.
ACTION:
Look at previous error messages for channel program 'X.TO.Y.F1' in the
error files to determine the cause of the failure.

this error keep repeating. i tried stopping the Sender Channel and Reset the sequence number and resolve using commit and then restart, it gives the same error.

What is the likely cause?/

Thanks

Hi

There are two things you have to look in to here

1. Use ADOPTMCA ADOPTNEWMCA
as you said RCVR is running when you tried to connect it from a SDR
There is already an instance of RCVR running in that.

2. Is it a problem with TCP/IP

Please let me know which OS it is and the MQ version

For more information

Thanks and Regards

Hi,

What is the use for the AdoptNewMCA for Sender channel type?
And if Qmgr A connects to Qmgr B both way such that SenderA to ReceiverB, SenderB to ReceiverA, we need to set AdoptNewMCA for receiver type for both the Qmgr to prevent this problem to happen? Or just set AdoptNewMCA in one of the Qmgr for both the Sender and Receiver channel type??

Thanks
