| Would you consider Canadian Citizens? if yes, what kind of taxes in India for foriegners and what location in India? Is it a full-time permanent or contract jobs? |

hkhan12:And about taxes in India...not that bad actually, better than the west, but if your planning to save a penny to return to Canada, then you should remember that companies are outsourcing work to India as its cheap labour here

I hope you meant
cost of living(Canada) - cost of living(India) < salary(Canada) - salary(India)
Or maybe I got your point wrong
...the fact of the matter is that there are very few places in the world where u can retire and hope to have enough in the bank after a currency conversion of the Indian rupee...and Canada is not one of them  |

I'm not going to vouch for my math one way or another.
My point is that if moving to India results in making more money relative to the cost of living, then one is increasing one's take-home pay. And thus, in theory at least, able to save more for retirement.
Your point seems to be that saving 30% of salary(India) still ends up having a smaller buying power than saving 10% of salary(Canada). And that's a good point, too.

Hi Guys,
I did some math as well on taxing systems in India. A friend of mine is a manager at IBM India at Guragaon, he confirmed me that taxes are almost same percent that we pay here in Canada.
I do agree even though you end up paying the same % of taxes, you still may save little bit extra that you can save in Canada.
But I guess you have to understand a couple other things such as
1. Working Environment
2. Life Style
I doubt you would be able to get them same in India as you do in Canada.
Any way, this is just my opinion, people may have a different view than mine. |

Why would anyone move from Canada to India to work on local rates of pay, unless he originally came from there?
People generally seek to move to countries with higher standards of living for a reason (it's not all relative either). |

Hey, I just realised : U could hire 20 Indians for the same amount of muny as 1 BBJ !!!
So, maybe I'll hire 10 little green Indians to do the work, get some sleep and still make a profit !!!

what location...and how much IBM can pay for 8 yrs exp......working exp with MQ Series, Vitria and web methods...aprta form all these having good knowledge of J2EE.............
