Is it possible to set up Visual Edit so that all users have the same profile and are not able to change it? We would like to have our developers be able to access all qmanagers that are not production. We do not have any MQ security in place at this time. |

Hummm, given SOX and other laws, I would STRONGLY suggest to manager or director that they implement some thing before some company executive gets arrested or worst, confidential information is stolen!!
<Vendor_Plug>Capitalware has 2 different MQ security solutions that are very reasonable priced.</Vendor_Plug>

Please read Chapter 11 Locking the CommProfileDB of the MQ Visual Edit User Manual (click Help -> Help), this is probably what you are looking for.
Note: MQ Visual Edit is licensed to the end-user, so if you deploy MQ Visual Edit to a LAN setup, then you MUST make sure each user accessing MQ Visual Edit has their own license.

Rodger,
I meant to say we are in the process of enabling MQ security. Is it possible to extend the demo period on Visual Edit or does one just download it again if the 30 days is about to expire?
Thank you for your help. We like what we have seen so far.

Sorry, you only get one 30-day trial period.
