I am trying to create a cluster using the MQ Series Explorer (Version 5.2.1) on 2 windows 2000 server machines. I was successful in create a cluster using the default configuration wizard. However, I was unsuccessful when I tried to create the cluster using the New Cluster option in the explorer. I get an MQ4036 message saying I do not have authorization to perform this operation when i try to connect to a remote repository queue. Can anyone help with instructions to get over this hurdle?

Hi Paul,

First of all, have you defined the SVRCONN: SYSTEM.ADMIN.SVRCONN on the remote site ?

Secondly you have to make sure that your userid is member of mqm.

You can take a look in the event viewer of the remote machine.... to see what the real reason was for unauth...

Just my $0.02
