Hi,

To manage failure and timeout in message flow, is it necessary to connect all terminal or is it correct that i can just connect the catch terminal from the first MQInput to receive all failure and catch exception ??

If i have some sub-process, does failure come out or is it necessary to have a failure or catch OutputTerminal.

Thanks for your answer or your best practices about error management

Philippe

Phillippe,

If an exception is thrown, it will roll back to the original catch on the MQinput node (if connected up), even if your message flow uses several sub-flows.
It's good practice to develop a standard error handling routine off the catch node, generally to write the ExceptionList to one queue and the original message to another (both NOT under transaction control)

Hope this helps

Stuart

And with a failure like i can have in XML Transformation (no catch terminal). The failure error in this node don't go up to Input catch terminal. Is it possible to know the failure error and thows it to receive the real error message in catch terminal (something like ExceptionList ; FailureList or something like that)

The second question : is it normal to not receive an exception when you have a problem with this XMLTransform Node.

Thx for your answer
